At PULSE@MassChallenge Finale, Medumo announces strategic collaboration with Partners HealthCare to scale digital care navigation pathways

Medumo, a leading patient navigation platform, announced a new strategic collaboration with Partners HealthCare at the second annual PULSE@MassChallenge Finale. This relationship will scale Medumo digital care navigation pathways (CareTours™) in care access, patient encounter preparation and follow-up, and many other clinical or administrative areas across Partners institutions. Medumo CareTours™ use multilingual SMS, email, and web-based applications to automate delivery of precisely timed instructions and patient risk assessment through every stage of a care encounter, improving clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.

What Does It Mean to Be a “Hub”?

As “the Hub,” Boston is widely recognized for bringing together some of the best and most innovative institutions and minds. At Brigham Health, iHub serves a similar connector role for the digital health community, by linking internal innovators with each other, and introducing them to external companies and neighboring organizations. More recently, we’ve extended that network to introduce promising startups and companies we’ve met to our sister innovation teams across Partners HealthCare.  

BWH Looks to Solve Critical Challenges with Startup Partnerships

On Thursday, September 28, Brigham and Women’s Innovation Hub (iHub) speaker series met at the hospital’s building of Transformative Medicine to discuss their digital health innovation, both internally and with local-area startups. Speaker Adam Landman, Chief Information Officer of the BWH, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and attending emergency physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, had an open discussion with Laurance Stuntz, the Director of the Massachusetts eHealth Institute at MassTech, or MeHI. They discussed the current climate for health care startups collaborating with major academic medical centers like BWH.

By definition a pulse is the regular throbbing of arteries, cause by successive contractions of the heart. More simply put, a pulse is life. A pulse is movement. Is the body alive and working? Is it able to move, grow and thrive?
